Monitoring Of Security Cameras: They Can Be Anywhere

In our modern world, governments, businesses and citizens all to turn to the security surveillance camera to protect their interests. Read on to learn more.
If it is because of novels such as Nineteen 84, or a television series based on the reality of today, the idea that the "Big Brother" is always watching you is floating around in people's minds for decades. But how close we can take in a world where everything is stored in the security surveillance camera? Closer than you might think.
When the U.S. government formed after the EDS TerroristAttack 11 SEP 2001, the goal was to exploit its vast resources to make America and people's lives safer. As the Department has evolved over the past decade, and have the resources - both financially and by the growing scale of technology. Each year, millions of dollars in grants to cities and states across the country to help facilitate progress in individual and collective security.
A good example of this money to work is Operation Virtual Shield, Which currently performed by the city of Chicago after being completed by Mayor Richard Daley. At a cost of $ 200 million, most paid by grant money from the program audio and video links throughout the city to create the video system's largest and most complex in the country. This is an unprecedented use of security cameras.
Led by a central monitoring system that connects thousands of video systems in a single hub, the police watched most of the city, a place in real time. Advances in technology, with the keys is also allowed for the security surveillance camera is equipped with facial recognition software to identify potential perpetrators of the crime scene before the police arrived.
The extent of the network is huge and growing. City officials expect to have video systems in all tick the next five years, while the entire area to be under constant surveillance 24 hours a day.
Chicago is not the only place in America where the video systems of this nature arise. About 5,000 traffic cameras have been installed recently in Washington DC to create a linked network that allows the city police department to monitor and block certain intersections in the day.
Video systems of this type are common in major sporting events like the Super Bowl, World Series and other high-profile events. Banks of cameras with facial recognition software used to scan the crowds at events such and locate potential threats, suspicious persons or persons with warrants.
American cities are not alone in this quest. The Chinese government has recently completed a similar project with a much broader scope. Plans for the Golden Shield project includes millions of cameras from all overthe country and a central computer system containing a facial image of all registered citizens. This would allow for people to be monitored by a security camera wherever they go at all hours of the day.
This broad approach to the monitoring of citizens is not likely that the future of America any time soon, but it is not to say that it is not at all. Advances in technology continue to allow monitoring of Big Brother still has the potential for eye in the sky, and you never know when you are able to look through the security control of the camera.
